Who runs the class?
I'm Hannah, I am the founder and owner of art explorers and run classes in Sevenoaks. I love art and working with young children so this is my ideal job!
After many years of trying out art and craft ideas with my children at home (and covering the kitchen table in glitter and paint) I decided to start up art explorers in Sydney where we were living at the time.
I love to paint, draw and create myself - you can see some of my work at Art by Hannah Barritt on Facebook. I have taken art courses on many subjects from watercolours to woodcarving. Prior to getting messy with art explorers I worked in London and Sydney as a qualitative researcher after completing a history degree at Keble College, Oxford University.
I'm Katy I run the Borough Green art explorers franchise. My daughter Edie and I have been going to Hannah's Art Explorers class in Sevenoaks for some time now and it is by far our favourite class. And we have tried a lot! We absolutely love getting messy and bringing home lots of colourful and imaginative creations. After months of working alongside Hannah to learn the art explorers magic, I am very excited to be starting this new adventure and to be able to offer art explorers classes to Borough Green and the surrounding areas.
I have always had a huge passion for art and being crafty at home. Then having Edie opened my eyes to a whole new exciting world of arty fun with children. Prior to getting messy with art explorers, I worked as a TV Producer for 10 years after completing a Broadcasting degree at Leeds University. I left TV in 2015 to have Edie and then loved being at home with her so much that I decided not to go back to work. Until now when i've been lucky enough to find my dream job!
