Getting festive
The town Christmas lights come on today so I thought it was a good day to get started on our Christmas crafts. The decorations were decorated and customised beautifully - I want some on my tree! Snow man glitter playdough was a big hit - the range of showmen created was fantastic. It's also a fantastic craft to continue with at home. I'm looking forward to more Christmas crafting next week!

Icy animals
Brrrrr! We met arctic and Antarctic wildlife today who live in the ice and snow. Using snow (shaving foam) and paint we created a snow storm for a sweet little penguin picture. The art explorers also loved creating snowy homes out of white glitter playdough for polar animals. #art #craft #lesson #Sevenoaks

Wow said the owl!
I love this beautiful colourful owl story which was todays inspiration for our class. I think the owl would have certainly said WOW if it had seen the fantastic art works created! The card scraper art was particularly popular and pretty easy to continue with at home. Just make sure you place some newspaper down under your paper to scrape the colour off onto or your table may be looking rather colourful! #owl #art #craft #Sevenoaks

It was recently my daughters 7th birthday and she requested an arty party, so I got to work with plaster of paris and made some gorgeous fairy houses for a painting session. The children all loved painting and glittering together and it made for a lovely calm party. Here are some of their finished creations. If you think an arty crafty party would be fun for your child do get in touch! #party #art #craft
